NRU has four main research themes:

The laboratory facilities comprise a well equipped laboratory for
experimental studies in animals, facilities for data analysis and a SPECT
laboratory with a new Irix Marconi scanner donated by the Toyota-Foundation
and the Danish Research Councils. Many research projects in NRU are performed
with the PET and MR facilities at the departments of other partners of
CBRC.
The research
group is chaired by Professor Gitte Moos Knudsen, DMSc. Professor Olaf
B. Paulson, DMSc, and Chief Engineer Claus Svarer, Ph.D., take part in
chairing the research group. Chief Technologist is Gerda Thomsen. A total
of 25 man year are appointed. The staff consists of physicians, engineers,
physicists, biologists, pharmacists as well as technicians and secretaries.
