Lundbeck is the only pharmaceutical company in the world specialised in CNS diseases. Neuroimaging is a powerful tool to increase the understanding of brain function and to study the effect of new, innovative medicines for the treatment of CNS diseases. It is therefore essential for Lundbeck to collaborate with centres of excellence such as CBRC in this field.

The Medicinal Chemistry Research division has for several years collaborated with NRU in the development of new PET and SPECT ligands. In the collaboration, selective ligands for different brain receptors and transporters are radiochemically labelled and are studied for potential use as PET or SPECT ligands.
